NorCA AGM & Workforce Summit
Wed 9 Oct 2024 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
The Gunn Club, Carrow Road, NR1 1JE
Description
The NorCA AGM and Workforce Summit is an event led by the Norfolk Care Association in conjunction with Norfolk County Council.
NorCA's Annual General Meeting will review activities from 2023-2024, giving an overview of what the association has been involved in, financial updates, and outlining our plans for 2024-2025.
The summit will focus on workforce and wellbeing, with the overall aim being to raise awareness of the newly launched National Workforce Strategy, from Skills for Care. We will be running a number of breakout sessions to review the strategy and focus on the key themes; attract and retain, train, and transform, which we plan to use to develop the local workforce strategy for Norfolk. Further sessions will highlight the importance of workforce wellbeing, offering attendees practical insights. These will be available during an extended lunch session, where there will be dedicated wellbeing sessions, some practical tips and ideas for supporting staff wellbeing in your own organisations, whilst also providing attendees with the chance to focus on their own personal wellbeing.
We will also be joined by the Norfolk Care Careers Team, Skills for Care, motivational speaker Stephen Balmer-Waters, with more guests to be announced.
Tea, coffee and pastries on arrival, lunch and afternoon snack will be provided.
