Norfolk Sportshall League – how it works

Under 10s: This year we are delighted to add some events for fun at each of the three league matches for the U10's. The three events will cover run, jump and throw. All the events will be individual events to see how many points you can achieve along with times in the races. It is all about personal performance and improvement. The events per match are:

Match 1 - 1 lap, chest push and vertical

Match 2 - Stepper, javelin and long jump

Match 3 - 1 lap, chest push and speed bounce.

Under 12s and Under 14s: There is a team competition for under 12s and under 14s. Clubs/schools can enter teams of between 2 and 6 athletes, who take part in a range of running, jumping and throwing events (a minimum of 4 athletes is required to fill all the events). Clubs can enter multiple teams in each age group.

If your club is not entering a team, you can still take part as an individual. Everyone must enter here, and you must select your club if you are a club member.

There are gold, silver and bronze trophies for the teams with the highest points in each age group after 3 league matches.

Under 16s: Under 16s compete as individuals, scoring points in 6 different events. Highest points from 2 out of 3 matches combined determine who wins gold, silver and bronze.

Entries close on Saturday 7th November at 5pm. There will be no late entries.

Due to processing costs, tickets are non refundable and non transferable.

Timetables, teamsheets and rules can be found on the Norfolk Sportshall website

Norfolk will enter a county team in the Regional finals in February next year. Our county team managers will select the majority of their squads based on the performances and commitment seen at the league meetings.

We want Sportshall athletics to be accessible for every child. If your family is experiencing financial difficulties and the cost of taking part is a concern, please get in touch with us confidentially to discuss how we may be able to help.
