First Aid Course for Youth Leaders
Emergency First Aid at Work
This is a Level 3 First Aid at Work course. A one-day qualification that meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
The learner will attain knowledge to deal with a range of first aid situations in your setting.
Qualification valid for 3 years.
Only 12 places available so we are limiting to 2 people per affiliated youth group. You can email us on yd@nayc.org if you have an additional person to consider and we can add their name to a reserve list.
Course Content:
Course comprising a minimum of 6 hours of practical and theoretical training covering the following responsibilities:
- Assessment of the situation
- First aid hygiene
- Resuscitation
- Anatomy
- Choking
- Bleeding
- Shock
- Epilepsy
- Minor injuries and dealing with an unresponsive casualty
This course is compliant with the Health & Safety Executive Code of Practice.
**IMPORTANT NOTES**
We provide this training for adult volunteers and we may not accept persons under 18. Please check with us before booking.
Please bring a form of ID with you so we can register the certifications (passport/driving licence).
Please arrive from 9.15am so we can all make a prompt start at 9.30am.
There will be breaks with tea and coffee but you will need to bring a pack lunch.
