We are excited to welcome you all for the 6th Annual ATX Family Community Camping we invite families from across Texas for an unforgettable weekend of spirituality, adventure, brotherhood, sisterhood, and outdoor fun at beautiful Camp Buckner Retreat & Conference Center. A perfect opportunity to disconnect or children from the Halloween weekend and instead reconnect with Allah's creation.

From exciting outdoor adventures and late-night bonfires to Tahajjud, jama’ah prayers, and community discussions, ATX Community Camping is designed to strengthen faith, build lifelong friendships, and create lasting memories in a positive Islamic environment during Halloween weekend. Whether you’re sleeping under the stars in a tent, enjoying the comfort of a cabin, or staying in the lodge with your family — there’s something for everyone at ATX Family Camping 2026.

Camp Buckner Retreat & Conference Center

Located approximately 1.5 hours from NAMCC, Camp Buckner is a beautiful retreat center surrounded by scenic hills, lakes, trails, outdoor recreation areas, cabins, and adventure facilities. Camp Buckner Just around the corner from Longhorn Cavern State Park and Inks Lake. Wildflowers in the spring, cool breezes in the fall, and the lifestyle and natural wonders of the Texas Hill Country makes this private campsite a MUST for group like us.

🏡 Family Lodge Stay — Sleeps 4 — $160 per person

Q&A

1. If I select option for lodge which has a minimum capacity of 4 and my family size is 5, can I be in the same room?
Response: Each lodge requires a minimum of 4 occupants ages 5 and older and is designed to accommodate 4 guests ages 5+. To reserve a lodge, your party must include at least 4 individuals who are age 5 or older and can occupy the 4 available beds.

A fifth guest may be included only if they are a child ages 0–4. In that case, a family of 5 may stay in the same lodge, with the understanding that the lodge contains 4 beds and the additional occupant is a young child. If adding a child age 0-4, you MUST also select the "Free Child 0-4" ticket to add to your purchase.

2. If I select a Chateau with a minimum occupancy of 6 and my family has more than 6 people, can we all stay in the same Chateau?

Response: Each Chateau requires exactly 6 occupants ages 5 and older. To reserve a Chateau, your party must include 6 individuals who are age 5 or older and can occupy the available beds.

A child ages 0–4 may be added as an additional occupant, allowing a maximum of 7 total guests in the Chateau, provided the seventh guest is a child ages 0–4. 

Please note that the Chateau contains 6 beds. When booking a Chateau, you must be able to accommodate all 6 guests ages 5+ using the available beds, with the understanding that any additional occupant must be a young child ages 0–4. If adding a child age 0-4, you MUST also select the "Free Child 0-4" ticket to add to your purchase.

3. Can I buy the activities later after I purchase accommodation?
Response: Yes. You can add activities later but no later than 5 days from camping. You can select the option: I forgot to add the activities and will do so now.

4. Can I switch the accommodation later after I purchase one?
Response: Yes. You can but no later than 3 weeks before the camping. Send an email to camping@namcc.org and it will be adjusted.

5. Is the food going to be halal? 
Response: Yes. The camp site will provide the halal food. We let them know the vendor from where to purchase and they use them to source.

6. I have elderly parents; can they join us?
Response: Yes. This is a family camping trip. People of all age groups come and enjoy. Seniors specially enjoy being around others and in nature refreshes them.

7. This is my first trip; do you have a checklist that I can use?
Response: Yes. We will send the details as we get closer to the camping.

8. For tent option, do I need to bring my own tent?
Response: Yes. You need to bring your own tent.

Please CARRY Signed Copy of CAMP BUCKNER IDEMNIFICATION FORM at the time of CHECK-IN for every family member/camper including children below age 4.

The camp map(as below) includes designated parking areas, walking paths, roads, recreation zones, and fire pit gathering spaces throughout the retreat grounds.
