APD Active Shooter Preparedness Training

Join us for an Active Shooter Preparedness Training led by the Austin Police Department (APD). This educational session will provide practical guidance on how to respond during an active shooter emergency and what steps can help protect you and those around you.

Topics will include:

• Understanding active shooter situations
• The best response strategy
• What to expect when law enforcement arrives
• Emergency preparedness and situational awareness
• Q&A with APD officers

This training is open to community members and is designed to help participants develop the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in an emergency.
