Big Pink Bus Mobile Mammography Screening

Take an important step toward your health with a 3-D screening mammogram provided by Lone Star Circle of Care's Big Pink Bus.

Early detection saves lives. When breast cancer is found early, a woman's 5-year survival rate is over 90%. The Big Pink Bus offers Screening Mammograms to eligible women throughout Central Texas, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.

Eligibility

You may receive a mammogram if you:

• Are 40 years of age or older
• Have not had a mammogram in the past 12 months
• Can provide the name and address of at least one physician
• Are uninsured or covered by MAP, MAP Basic, or select commercial insurance

Not Eligible for Mobile Screening

Unfortunately, the mobile unit cannot provide screenings if you:

• Are currently being treated for breast cancer
• Are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are breastfeeding
• Need assistance getting on/off the bus or standing during the exam
• Are experiencing breast symptoms such as a lump, skin changes, or nipple discharge (please see your healthcare provider instead)
