Northern seeds and breeds theme meeting
We will be holding our first Northern Food and Farming strategic theme group meetings from November and welcome people working across the food and farming sector in the North of England to join a group to network, share and explore barriers and opportunities.
On 10 December, the group focussed on genetic diversity of northern seeds and breeds will be meeting.
Together we will work towards a healthy, fair and sustainable food and farming system for the North!
The strategic theme groups are:
Regular spaces (online and in person) to convene northern networks and individuals around the six action areas of the Northern Food and Farming strategy
A place to welcome new network members and provide an introduction to the NFF network
Places for network members and organisations to share ideas, proposals, emergent thinking, challenges, opportunities or requests linked to one of the six action areas
Identify (where appropriate) what/who is needed to unlock work, actions to take forward ideas and/or next steps
Strategic theme group meetings will take place online twice a year for 2 hours.
For our first sessions, we will cover:
Welcome and introductions: A brief overview of the NFF work, along with upcoming news and events
Space for members to share ideas/challenges/proposals - please confirm when you sign up for the meeting if you have an update, proposal or topic you would like to share
Discussion around key themes and opportunities for collaboration
Identifying actions and next steps including how we want to continue working together going forwards
