Fast Trains is the boundary-pushing solo project of Portsmouth-born songwriter Tom Wells.

Fast Trains has been championed by BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and BBC 6 Music, and has received funding and support from the Featured Artists Coalition, AIM, The Ivors Academy and Help Musicians. Collaborations with visual artists have led to award-winning videos screened at film festivals all over the world.

Fiercely independent, all Fast Trains music has to date been kept off the usual streaming platforms, instead delivering to fans directly via the official website, YouTube channel and Bandcamp. This has resulted in a passionate live following, where Wells shifts the gig experience from intimate solo performances to energetic full band shows.

THUS formed the Dead Friday Society- a loose, ever-changing, ever-welcoming collective who frolic, gambol and make merry. Who paint the town red, who rejoice in the Fridayness of it all, who step out, who get down. Who embrace the spirit of live music for only £5 a gig...
