Paul Whiteley will talk about the causes of the Brexit vote in 2016, and then examine trends in opinion since then, with an eye to determining if they point to Britain engaging more with the EU if not eventually re-joining.
Paul Whiteley's research interests include electoral behaviour, public opinion, political parties, political economy and methodology in the social sciences. He is a Fellow of the British Academy and a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences, and author or co-author of some twenty books and more than 100 articles in academic journals. He is also a frequent blogger on British and Comparative politics.
