Introduction to Therapeutic Groupwork

This Groupwork Training provides an introduction to groupwork theory and practice, for therapists interested in working with groups and those already doing so. The focus is on participants developing skills in facilitating groups and using the resources of the group to support therapeutic change. The skills and theory addressed within the course will be applicable to a range of settings, from support groups to therapeutic workshops and on-going therapeutic groups. 

The course will include:
·      An introduction to a planning cycle for running groups and workshops.

·      Input on therapeutic groupwork skills, exercises and facilitator styles

·      Opportunities for group work skills development and coaching of facilitation in ‘live’ groups.

17/18 October 2026. This course runs 10.30 am - 5.30 pm on both days.
