Lottie, The Travelling Doll

By String Theatre

Inspired by an event that happened in Franz Kafka's life, the production follows the adventures of Lottie, a brave and curious doll that gets carried away by a gust of wind and embarks on a journey around the world to find her own path.

Lottie's journeys are based on The Beach at Night by Elena Ferrante and inspired by Wild Beings by Dorien Brouwers and The Night Dragon by Naomi Howarth.

Using a variety of different styles of puppetry, including marionettes, glove puppets, shadows and table top, this production explores the themes of identity, friendship and freedom.

Supported by Centro del Títere (Madrid), Little Angel Theatre (London), Teatro del Lavoro (Pinerolo) and funded by ARTS COUNCIL ENGLAND.

Both the 11am and 2.30pm performance are suitable for audiences who are D/deaf or hard of hearing.

The performance at 2.30pm will be AUDIO DESCRIBED, making it accessible for blind and partially sighted audiences.

There will be a TOUCH TOUR at 1.45pm.
