The Head That Bears

In the deep dark depths of a small woodland glade, a strange little girl discovers a golden crown hanging from a tree branch.

Greedy to claim it for themselves, three unpleasant young peasants try to trick her down from the tree-top: they spin her a series of twisted tales, depicting cursed kings, cheerless executioners, and bread-and-butter-worshipping-butlers.

All the while, two looming figures observe the scheming ‘scallions from the darkness: the spectre of Death - and a big, brown bear…

Winner of the 2014 Minotaur Theatre Creative Writing Competition, Burnt Coffee Theatre Company are excited to bring this Grimm and Grizzly folk-tale to the weird and wonderful folk of Norwich!
