A Night with Steven McRae - Principal Dancer with the Royal Ballet

Join us for an evening of uplifting conversation from Steven McRae, Principal Dancer with the Royal Ballet. Steven has a been a dancer with the Royal Ballet since he was 17 years old, rising quickly through the ranks to achieve the Principal ranking at a young age. A Night with Steven McRae will take the audience on a journey through Steven's life to discover the factors that led to the creation of his recent movie 'Resilient Man' (Dancing to the Light - UK release).

Whether it was leaving his home country of Australia at a young age, the pressures of being a Principal dancer, or his struggles and triumphs with serious injury, Steven's story is one of resilience, hard work and rising above. His reflections and insight into his own journey to the top of world ballet are unique and absorbing, while also being relatable to everyone's journey through hardship and triumph. 

Fittingly, the evening will be conducted at the Godolphin Performing Arts Centre and co-hosted by the The Artisan Wine & Spirit Company and Salisbury Dance Studios. A Night with Steven will be compered by Shane Kelly, Clinical Director of the Royal Ballet. Both Steven and Shane are offering this night to the Salisbury community in support of Shane's wife, Henrietta Paxton, who suffered a serious spinal cord injury last year. Henrietta is still needing support adjusting to daily life in a wheelchair and has years of rehabilitation ahead of her. This money will help Henrietta piece her life back together and support her recovery in every way.

Tickets cost £60.00 each.

The cost of the ticket includes a seat at the event, one free drink and canapes on arrival. There will also be a paid bar before and after the event.
