TWILIGHT PHOTOWALK HULME PARK

Join me at dusk for a magical walk, on the weekend when the clocks go back, taking us into the long, dark nights of winter.

For this photowalk we'll be looking at the contrasts between the old and new city, the urban and green spaces, as we wander gently through Hulme Park, following the line of the Mancunian Way to the Redbricks in Hulme. The view from the park is one of the most astonishing in Manchester, and there is plenty to observe and photograph. 

There are the huge glass towers of the modern skyline, the gentle greenery of the park, and some of the older communities with their low rise 30s architecture. It's a fascinating area, and will no doubt inspire your inner photographer. 

I'll be on hand to offer tips and inspiration for photographs. The walk is suitable for any level, and you can bring any kind of recording device - smartphone, dslr or film cameras, or even no device at all if you simply want to stroll and absorb the sights and sounds arround you. The walk is about giving ourselves permission to slow down and notice the world around us.  

I've worked with photography for nearly 4 decades, and my pictures have appeared in national and international publications such as Elle, Saturday Telegraph Magazine, Der Speigel, GQ and The Guardian. I have exhibited numerous times in the UK, as well as Hong Kong, China, France and Germany.
