Join me at dusk for a magical walk around an area of the city due to undergo huge change...

This Not Quite Light photowalk will be in Manchester, where the city borders Salford, around an area due to be regenerated in the near future, transforming it from an old, industrial district into a neighbourhood for living. It's a truly fascinating place, ripe with ghosts of the past and slightly chequered recent history. Each step will bring something interesting to observe, and you will not be short of things to photograph.

I’ll be on hand to offer tips and inspiration for photographs. The walk is suitable for any level, and you can bring any kind of recording device – smartphone, dslr or film cameras, or even no device at all if you simply want to stroll and absorb the sights and sounds around you. The walk is about giving ourselves permission to slow down and notice the world around us.

I’ve worked with photography for nearly 4 decades, and my pictures have appeared in national and international publications such as Elle, Saturday Telegraph Magazine, Der Speigel, GQ and The Guardian. I have exhibited numerous times in the UK, as well as Hong Kong, China, France and Germany.
