On-Call Recruitment - Fitness Test & Written Exam

You're invited to the fitness test and written exam element of the on-call recruitment process. 

This part of the application process is designed to assess your suitability to carrying out the role of a firefighter. It entails a fitness test (either Bleep Test or Chester Treadmill Test) followed by a short multiple choice test, containing questions that you are likely to use as an operational firefighter.

These tests will take place on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 April 2025, at Nottinghamshire Fire and Police Joint Headquarters. 

There are currently three time slots on each day to choose from - please select a slot that suits you. 

Please note that you are required to arrive on site 10 minutes before your allocated time slot and you will be met by a Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service staff member. You are allowed to park in the 'bottom car park' which can be found on the left as you drive into the headquarters, just past The Park, or by using What3Words ///wonderfully.dilute.modifies - please do not block the gates or ring the bell, as this will go through to Nottinghamshire Police, rather than the fire service.

You will be required to come dressed in appropriate fitness gear, as this is what you'll be wearing to carry out the fitness tests.
