CHARLIE-P Partner Training Sessions - Highfields Fire Station
CHARLIE-P Partner Training Sessions - Highfields Fire Station
Need help?
Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service is pleased to be hosting training sessions for professionals within our partner organisations who refer vulnerable individuals for Safe and Well Visits.
Accidental dwelling fires have a significant impact to society, physically, psychologically, and financially - we are hoping that these training sessions will help the reduction of these incidents across the county by educating partners the best we can.
The training sessions will cover all aspects of the CHARLIE-P Assessment Tool, which is utilised by professionals within our communities to assess the risk of fire within vulnerable people.
From these sessions, participants should expect to:
- Recognise the aspects of a person’s daily behaviour, environment, and characteristics, which may increase their risk of fire
- Assess case studies
- Apply the CHARLIE-P matrix to everything they do
- Use a person-centred approach
- Describe how to make a referral for a Safe and Well Visit to Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service
Our main aims are to:
- Improve community safety by increasing the number of Safe and Well Visits we complete
- Target Safe and Well Visits towards the most vulnerable within our communities
- Maximise collaborative opportunities to make communities safer
- Achieve annual reductions for the most common causes of fire in the home
- Increase smoke alarm ownership
These sessions will be held at Highfields Fire Station (Hassocks Lane, Beeston, NG9 2GQ) - unfortunately, parking is limited so we ask that people car share where appropriate.
Please make sure you book onto a session at your earliest convenience as they are offered on a first come first served basis. We may host additional sessions if these sessions get booked up quickly but this can't be guaranteed.
Refreshments will be provided on the day.
