Fire Safety Workshop: Places Of Worship

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service is hosting a Fire Safety Workshop for those who lead, manage, or are a responsible person for places of worship in Nottinghamshire.

Please note that this will take place on Thurs 4th March 2027 from 10am until 12pm at Carlton Fire Station.

This session, which will be hosted by the Service's Fire Protection Business Support Team, will cover all aspects of a fire risk assessment, fire safety laws and how to keep yourself, your staff, your business and your customers safe from fire. You will learn about fire safety and have discussions around the five-step risk assessment method.

Our main aims are to:

• Engage with as many businesses as possible across our county as part of our business safety campaign
• Improve fire safety within businesses in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire
• Achieve reductions in fires which occur within those businesses

Refreshments will be available on the day.

Please note: These workshops will not count as fire safety training, so no certification will be given out at the end of the session.

If you're wanting to attend a session but cannot make this one then please email fireprotection@notts-fire.gov.uk - they may be able to organise a separate in-person or online session.

Please make sure you book onto a session at your earliest convenience as they are offered on a first come first served basis. We may host additional sessions if these sessions get booked up quickly, but this can't be guaranteed.
