Tarot and Creative Writing Salon

Tarot is a card game, storytelling tool, and form of divination that has enchanted people all over the world, from all walks of life, for centuries. Though often viewed as a solitary practice, it is truly eye-opening when practiced in community – that's when the 'magic' happens 🔮 . When combined with writing, it's an excellent way to unblock creativity, build confidence, and avoid phone-induced brain rot 📝.

What We'll Do
In this two-hour salon, we will gather in an intimate group of nine to draw cards and write scenes based on those spreads, using the tarot to help stitch these scenes into a cohesive narrative. Fiction, non-fiction, poetry, plays, comedy skits, dinner party anecdotes – all forms of writing are welcome. The focus here is play and improvisation – not evaluations or feedback. It's a great way to connect meaningfully with a group of strangers, while deepening your intuitive understanding of tarot and storytelling. You'll walk away with the bones of a story you can keep developing, and the knowledge of how to apply tarot to your creative practice (or life in general).
