Savage Cabbage Bash

Description
FWNPAT needs your help! The Savage Cabbage Bash is happening SOON! Please attend or share if you can't come.
On Saturday, March 30 from 9-12, Jo Ann Collins will be gathering folks to rid the Trinity Trail near The Press Cafe of an invasive species. This would be a great opportunity to do something to help our native wildflowers flourish as this species is taking over along highway easements and frequently mowed areas. With the rain we've had, pulling it should be easy. We have used small spades, shovels, and even screwdrivers to aid in pulling it up. Please share with school, church, nature or scout troops or anyone who might like to come out and help! Details are in the first photo in the post. Jo Ann Collins can also mentor groups that want to do this event on their own! Just shoot her a message. Last year TRWD did a video of us describing this event. That video will be included in the comments.
This event is sponsored by Young Women's Leadership Academy, Tarrant TRWD - Tarrant Regional Water District and the Fort Worth Chapter of Native Prairies Association of Texas.
Please share and pull this plant when you see it! The scientific name is Rapistrum rugosum, but it's known by it's ironic common name, Bastard Cabbage, hence .... the name Savage!).
