No restrooms on site. You’ll need to make a pitstop somewhere on the way. No places to stop nearby.

Powelldale Mountains on Lake Whitney is leased and managed by the US Army Corp of Engineers.

Here’s a small list of species we might expect to see (some will not be in bloom): Hill Country Brickellbush (Brickellia cylindracea), Plains Fleabane (Erigeron modestus), Gray Golden Aster (Heterotheca canescens), Gayfeather (Liatris mucronata), Small Palafoxia (Palafoxia callosa), Old Field Goldenrod (Solidago nemoralis), Downy Ragged Goldenrod (Solidago petiolaris), Rough Goldenrod (Solidago radula), Stiff Goldenrod (Solidago rigida), Slender Greenthread (Thelesperma simplicifolium), Easter Daisy (Townsendia exscapa), Dwarf Dalea (Dalea rubescens), Pink Mimosa (Mimosa borealis), Prairie Phacelia (Phacelia strictiflora), False Gaura (Oenothera glaucifolia), Prairie Agalinis (Agalinis heterophylla), Indiangrass (Sorghastrum nutans), Switchgrass (Panicum virgatum), Big Bluestem (Andropogon gerardii), Little Bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium) and Canada Wildrye (Elymus canadensis).
