Fort Worth NPAT Members Only Holiday Prairie Hike & Wine Tasting

As thanks for your support, Fort Worth NPAT Members are invited to a Holiday Prairie Hike on the LBJ grasslands followed by Wine Tasting at Marker Cellars near Alvord, TX.  The hike will be led by our own grasslands expert Mary Curry, on a location chosen to showcase the ecology of the grasslands in late fall.  The hike begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. (please plan to arrive by 9:45) and will last about an hour and a half (at the speed of botany, that might not be more than a mile and a half!).  We then reassemble at Marker Cellars for the wine tasting at 12:00 p.m. Mark Rogers, owner and vintner of Marker Cellars, will lead us through a selection of his award-winning wines. Charcuterie Boards will accompany the wines and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available. You are also welcome to join us at noon for just the wine tasting. In case of inclement weather, we will postpone the hike to a spring 2024 date and begin our holiday gathering with the wine tasting at 12:00 p.m.  If the hike is cancelled, a notice will be sent to all registered participants by 7 a.m. December 7.

This is a Fort Worth NPAT Members Only event.  Registration is required as we will send location information to registrants.  There's no charge to attend, but donations to support NPAT's work in North Texas are gratefully accepted.  Members are welcome to bring a guest.  Please include the total number attending when you register.
