No restrooms at the park. We will meet at 8:45 am at the parking lot next to the Vietnam Memorial at 109 Thrush St. The park was used as a campsite for confederate soldiers. The springs are still found in the park. Your observations will be automatically uploaded to the Soldier Spring Park iNaturalist project.
Species expected in this plant community: Dalea hallii, Dalea reverchonii, Liatris mucronata, Dalea enneandra, Thelesperma filifolium, Tetraneuis scaposa, Rhus aromatica, Cercis texensis, Yucca pallida, Lonicera albiflora, Stenaria nigricans, Asclepias asperula, Asclepias viridis, Asclepias viridiflora, Rhus glabra, Rhus lanceolata, Swida drummondii (Cornus drummondii), Ilex decidua, Glandularia bipinnitifida and Oenothera glaucifolia.
