Safeguarding for Carers

Safeguarding might sound serious — and it is — but this session will be anything but intimidating. Led by our brilliant volunteer Barbara Morris, a retired safeguarding trainer for North Tyneside Council’s social work teams, this session blends professional expertise with real-life caring experience.

Barbara has up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and a deep passion for helping fellow carers protect themselves and those they care for. She’ll guide you through spotting signs of abuse or neglect, understanding your responsibilities, and knowing what to do if you’re concerned — all in a warm, welcoming environment.

It’s an essential session for every carer, and with Barbara’s friendly approach, you’ll leave feeling informed, empowered, and supported.
