Mental Health Carer Group

This monthly group provides a space for mental health carers to be inspired and connect with people who also support a family member or friend with a mental health condition. To attend you first need to be registered as a mental health carer with the Carers' Centre - contact enquiries@ntcarers.co.uk if you need to register.

Thursday 28 August: 
Join us for a relaxed and friendly afternoon with other mental health carers. We’ll take the ferry across the Tyne to South Shields and walk to the South Shields Museum & Art Gallery.

Led by resident historian Sophie, we’ll explore fascinating displays of local history, including paintings by Ralph Hedley and artefacts such as the ship’s bell from HMS Kelly. You’ll also get to experience The Art of Conservation exhibition - a behind-the-scenes look at how artworks are preserved.

To round off the day, the gallery will treat us to a free cream tea in The Victorian Pantry café.
