Welcome to Northeastern University London Students' Union Welcome Week 2023!

Here, you will find links to all the tickets available at Welcome Week, along with more details on all the events and the chance to buy tickets for external guests. Make sure to get tickets ASAP to avoid disappointment! Also, please bear in mind that tickets should be allocated to incoming students first for all events w/c 4th of September!

IMPORTANT NOTE: For the Games Night and Pub Scavenger Hunt, you cannot book tickets for both events. If you want to change the event you have booked, please cancel your ticket and rebook, or contact us on admin@su.nulondon.ac.uk

Monday 4th of September

Members of the Students' Union will be available to chat to in the Hub at Devon House all day during registration and visa checks.

Tuesday 5th of September

Welcome Talks from the University and the Union will be taking place at The Barbican throughout the day.

In the evening, there are two events on:

GAMES NIGHT @ DEVON HOUSE - £0 Ticketed

Join us in the Campus Hub for free food, games, movies and more all night! Enjoy film-themed food and drinks, lots of board games and Nintendo Switch tournaments. Many prizes are up for grabs throughout the night!

PUB SCAVENGER HUNT - £0 Ticketed

4 pubs near University, a photo at each and a dedicated room at The Oliver Conquest with a 30% student discount - what's not to love! Starting at the Dickens Inn, meet the Students' Union for your map and plan of the night, then set sail on your own adventure!

Wednesday 6th September

Welcome Fair, Pizza Party, and Prof A. C. Grayling Talk

Meet society ExCo's, enjoy lots of free food and activities, too! Free pizza party at 15:30, talk from the Principal of the University A. C. Grayling at 17:00 - not a day to be missed!

Roof East Bar Night - £0 Ticketed

Exclusive night out at Roof East in Stratford limited to 290 students! Roof East is a rooftop bar packed with cheap drinks, great views, and over 10 awesome games! 

Thursday 7th September 

Brunch at Borough  - £0 Ticketed

Free brunch at Borough Market just the other side of the River to Uni! Meet the Students' Union from 10:00 to collect your vouchers and head over to stalls throughout the market to redeem free coffees and pastries!

Quiz and Curry Night - from £0 Ticketed

Quiz, curry, and cheap Union Bar - what's not to love?! The Bar will be open from 18:30 serving lots of cheap soft and alcoholic drinks. The Quiz starts promptly at 19:30 with lots of prizes to be won!

Friday 8th September

Sports Day

Come along to John Orwell Sports Centre, just a short walk away from the University, to take part in lots of sports, learn about this semester's offer and indulge in free Fish and Chips - a British classic!

Monday 11th September

Stand Up to Cancer Fundraiser

Cookie decorating and Bake Off fundraiser for Stand Up to Cancer in the Hub. Bound to be full of laughs!

Thursday 14th September

Music Society @ The Lexington - from £0 Ticketed

Music Society Gig at The Lexington in Angel. Just over 200 tickets available so make sure to get them fast!

The Great British Bar Night - from £0 Ticketed

The first Union Bar Night of the academic year! Come along for free food, cheap drinks, and lots of laughs!

The NUSU London Welcome Ball

The Welcome Ball 2023. A Starry Night. The Vaults - St Katherine Docks. 19:00 - 23:30. A night to remember.

Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning

For the final major event of September, we are taking part in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning with coffee and cake from all over the world!
