NWR Telephone Treasure Trail 2026 - CLUE HOLDERS

Our popular annual quiz, the Telephone Treasure Trail quiz is a fun event for groups and can be quite competitive! The quiz takes place over four days in November with a maximum of 100 groups taking part each day.

*IMPORTANT NOTE*

When entering your phone number -

• Please add a space between the area code and the number for landlines
• Add a space separating your mobile number after the first 5 digits - for example 07767 123456

Do you enjoy speaking to members from all over the country? Then volunteering to be a clue holder could be right up your street!

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO BE A CLUE HOLDER

• All you need is a telephone and a free afternoon or evening. 

• For the daytime quiz you need to be available to take calls between 2.00pm to 4.00pm on Monday (16 November)

• For the evening quiz you need to be available to take calls between 7.30pm and 9.30pm (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 17, 18 &19 November) 

• You will ideally need to disable or turn off your Answerphone / Call Minder Service if you are able to, for the date & time you are clue holding.

• All volunteers will be emailed in early October asking them to confirm their details and availability

• Nearer the time you will receive your instructions, your answer and clue and a list of Emergency Clue Holders for the date you are volunteering.

Thank you for volunteering to be a clue holder. If you want to take part in the quiz with your group then you need to volunteer for a different night.
