NWR - The Christmas Radio Times with Robert Mee

The BBC's Radio Times has been an integral part of Christmas for as long as the BBC has been there.

This talk looks at the changing nature of festive programmes, both on the radio and that new-fangled television thing, from 1923 to 2000. A genuine "history" talk, but one which is also likely to bring back a good number of memories.

Speaker Bio:

Robert is a local historian who concentrates on the Derbyshire / Nottinghamshire area. He holds an MA in English Local History, and gives numerous local history talks. But now and again he likes to venture away from purely local history….

This online talk is for Members of the National Women's Register.
