Introduction to Domestic Abuse

This free one-hour introductory seminar is designed for professionals working in the Thanet and Dover area who may encounter individuals affected by domestic abuse. The session will provide a clear understanding of domestic abuse, including its definition, the dynamics of coercive control, and the power and control model.

We will explore the journey of a victim, the barriers they may face when seeking help, and the vital role professionals can play in offering support. Attendees will also receive signposting information to local and national services.
