This is a tailored event, favorable to Catholic culture and in service of advancing the cause of Catholic marriages throughout the city and world. This event recognized that meeting people is difficult, let alone meeting people with a shared value system.

Registration Details

• After you purchase your ticket, you will receive a link to a Compatibility Survey.
• You MUST complete the Compatibility Survey prior to the event. 
  • If you do not complete the Compatibility Survey, you will not receive ANY scheduled dates and you will be assigned as a Free Agent.
• FREE AGENTS: Waitlisted attendees are more than welcome to attend as Free Agents.
  • Free Agents still enjoy lunch & mingling time, plus they are allowed to "float" through the room all afternoon to have conversations with other Free Agents and with speed daters during their break rounds.
  • All speed daters will have 3 break rounds, so Free Agents will have a constant rotation of new people whom you can talk to.
  • At each of our past events, there have been 25+ matches that resulted from chance encounters during break rounds!
• NOTE: By RSVPing and attending, you acknowledge that photography and videography will be taking place. Most footage will be general B-roll (crowd shots, atmosphere, moments) and not focused on identifying individuals. Attendance constitutes permission for the use of images or video for future event promotion or related content.

Post-Event Matching

• At the end of the event (~5:00 PM), a Matchmaker Survey will hit your inbox.
  You will note which of your 12 dates you DO want to get to know better.
• Your mutual matches will be shared by 12 PM on the following day (Sunday).
• In order for contact information to be shared, the match MUST be mutual:
  • EXAMPLE 1: Adam likes Eve, and Eve likes Adam. Both indicate in the match survey that they like each other. Adam gets Eve's phone number, Eve gets Adam's phone number. ;)
  • EXAMPLE 2: Adam is head over heels for Eve. But Eve didn't like Adam's fruit preferences. No contact info is shared.

The male/female ratio have been and will continue to be even! 😉

FAQ

• I went to a previous Holy Flirtation event. Will I be paired the same people?
  No, we'll make sure you have all new dates! All previous encounters will be treated as non-compatible.
• How will I be matched for speed dating?
  After buying your ticket, you will be asked to complete a Compatibility Survey that gathers some basic demographic info as well as your matches preferences (including age, height, and geographic location). Matches are made according to your preferences.
• After the event, how does matchmaking and contact-info exchange happen?
  After each round you will indicate on a "match card" whether your date was a match for you. At the end of the night, you'll submit your matches in our Matchmaker Survey. We will release contact info to all MUTUAL matches via email on Sunday.
• Is it possible that I don't receive any mutual matches after the speed dating?
  A mutual match means both people say “yes.” If you say no to everyone, or they all say no to you, you won’t match, and vice versa. All outcomes are possible (and unlikely). That’s dating — the more you show up, the better your odds! ;)
• How many dates will there be? And how long is each date?
  12 dates. 6 minutes per date. ~2 minutes between dates. Think 6 minutes is too short? Great, if you match, you can go on a real date. ;) Think this is too long? Great, make a new friend and not a spouse.
• How does the waitlist work?
  Once the event reaches capacity for a particular gender (100 men, 100 women), Free Agent tickets will go on sale. Buying a Free Agent ticket automatically adds you to the waitlist for speed dating. We'll let you know if we can include you in the speed-dating schedule at least 24 hours before the event. (However, being a Free Agent has its perks — see the next FAQ below!)
• What is a "Free Agent"?
  A Free Agent does not have assigned dates because the event reached capacity (100 men, 100 women). Free Agents will still enjoy lunch & mingling time, and they will be allowed to "float" through the room all afternoon to have conversations with other Free Agents and with speed daters during their break rounds. All speed daters will have 3 break rounds at different times, so you'll have a constant rotation of new people whom you can talk to, and you'll have the chance to talk to everyone! At our last event, there were 25+ matches that resulted from chance encounters during break rounds! This event will also have designated & TRAINED "wingmen/women" who can help introduce you to that cute guy/girl who caught your eye on the other side of the room. ;)
• Will there be an even gender ratio?
  Yes. Exactly 50/50.
• What is the age spread?
  78% of attendees at the first Holy Flirtation were between 22-32, and of those people 65% were 24-28. We will ask for your age and honor your age preferences in the Compatibility Survey.
• What's the geographic distribution?
  Most attendees are from the Indianapolis area and the surrounding counties. Some came from far and wide in previous events. We will ask for your location/proximity preferences in the Compatibility Survey.
• What's for lunch?
  TBD!
• Do I need to be Catholic to participate?
  No, you do not have to be Catholic. All are welcome! Note that this event is primarily advertised at Catholic parishes, so the majority of attendees will likely be Catholic.
• Is there an opportunity for Mass?
  Yes, this speed-date will end at 4:15pm. The Saturday evening vigil Mass in the Church at 4:30pm.
• This is convoluted and I'm confused.
  Yes. Hopefully by now you're noticing how much work the Holy Spirit does in getting you to the Altar. It's a fun challenge for us, but ultimately all this is under His guidance.
