BLACK CANVAS: Beyond Boundaries, a part of Jeremy A. Teel’s “I, Too, Am Kink”, reimagines the portrayal of Black bodies as canvases of limitless expression. In this excerpt, Teel challenges viewers to consider the complexities of bondage, body positivity, and the liberation of the Black body amidst daily struggles and pleasures. Each piece provokes thought on the intricate dance between vulnerability and strength in the Black experience, blending art with activism to celebrate and critically examine these narratives.

Artist Bio

Jeremy A. Teel is a highly experienced professional dedicated to promoting equity and advocacy for marginalized communities. Through their various endeavors, and with a particular focus on People of Color and LGBTQIA+ individuals, Jeremy has a deep understanding of the challenges these communities face and actively works to address them. As an accomplished photographer, Jeremy’s current projects shed light on the contributions of Black culture in the BDSM/Kink Community. No matter the medium, Jeremy is a valuable asset in fostering inclusivity, empowerment, and the recognition of diverse communities.

Location: Our entrance is located on Cesar Chavez, between Congress and Colorado.

Parking: Street parking is very limited, so we highly encourage you to carpool or ride share. Plan on staying downtown after attending our event? The parking garage at 100 Congress (right next door) offers a $10 flat rate after 4PM...just make sure your car is out by 6AM! Map and details for that garage here.
