OffBeat Art Club Opening Night

Join us for the opening night of the first ever OffBeat Art Club!!!!!!!!!

We are going to be at the wonderful Staffordshire St where, for its first edition, The OffBeat Art Club presents a large open-submission exhibition bringing together over 80 artists whose work sits somewhere around the edges of folk, outsider and vernacular traditions. Curated with Wilfrid Wood and presented in partnership with Staffordshire St, the show features ceramics, textiles, painting, print and sculpture that explore place, memory, landscape and the strange poetry of everyday life.

Expect work that is weird, playful and a little outside the ordinary.

OffBeat
OffBeat is a folk club that uses film to explore what it means to be British today. What began as a small screening series has grown into the OffBeat Folk Film Festival, promoting filmmakers working with ideas of place, culture and everyday life. In 2026, in partnership with Staffordshire St, OffBeat launches the OffBeat Art Club, inviting artists to take part in its first visual art exhibition.

Wilfrid Wood
Wilfrid Wood is a London-based artist specialising in portraiture. He trained at Central Saint Martins before working on the satirical television programme Spitting Image. His work spans painting, drawing and sculpture, capturing an uncanny sense of likeness that often reveals more than his subjects expect.
