Workshop: Stop Leaving Yourself Behind: Setting Boundaries with Confidence

When thinking about change, we can sometimes hold ourselves back to such an extent, we don’t even start exploring.  We can overthink, over explain, and at worst - override our own needs.  With many defaulting to prioritising others, we often lose connection to our own internal signals. Over time, this can leave us feeling stretched, overwhelmed, or resentful - especially when we’re at cross roads in our lives.

This is why boundaries are so important when we are beginning to feel that need for change across our life and career.

Join Kat Wong from Oh Yeah, the inclusive career-change platform for busy lives, and somatic coach Poonam Dhuffer for an embodied workshop on how to express your boundaries without leaving yourself behind. If you recognise yourself as someone who holds themselves back - this is a space to explore how to come back to yourself through exploring boundaries through a somatic (body-based) lens.

With an introduction to the somatic approach, Poonam will gently show a different way of understanding as you learn why it can feel so difficult to say no, take up space, or express what you really need for your future self.

Setting boundaries isn’t about closing down or pulling away. It’s about tending to your own capacity, and learning how to remain in relationship with others without losing your place within yourself.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • How fear of change shows up in your body and voice
  • How these responses shape your ability to set and hold boundaries
  • How to create more space for choices that work for you, even in moments of discomfort
  • How boundaries can shift between leaky, rigid, and healthy states

This is a slow, guided, experiential workshop where you’ll listen more closely to yourself, and to explore new ways of relating to your own needs in a supportive, non-judgemental environment.

You’ll leave the session with:

A deeper awareness of how your body signals your boundaries

Insight into the patterns and protections that shape your responses

A felt understanding of the cost of overriding your needs, especially when exploring change

Greater capacity to stay with discomfort, rather than move away from it

Simple, embodied ways to communicate your boundaries with more clarity and self-trust

This is for you if:

  • You identify as a people-pleaser
  • You find it hard to say no or ask for what you need
  • You feel stretched, overwhelmed, or resentful
  • You want something deeper than mindset or communication tips

No experience with somatic work is needed. Come with an open heart and mind.

Everybody is welcome.

General admission: £55

Reviews of previous Oh yeah workshops and events:

💬 "Thank you Kat Wong and Poonam Dhuffer for a brilliant somatically focused way to think about your career. Sound, supportive advice and stories to help people navigate the difficult struggles." Jason, Creative Coach

💬  “The Oh Yeah session with Kat and Poonam really helped me to take a breath and enable me to reframe my work-life balance.  Thank you for the session, I’m now better armed with the tools to overcome the fear.” BB, Music Executive

💬 "I recently attended the Oh Yeah Self Compassion workshop led by Anna and Kat - it was an opportunity for me to find out more about Oh Yeah and it certainly didn't disappoint! What Kat is creating is much needed in the career change space; somewhere to think outside the box in a holistic and creative way around what career change involves. Anna was brilliant - she created a really warm, open and friendly environment which meant we were all able to share openly and learn a lot. I left feeling energised and empowered and with a determination to remember to be as kind to myself as I am to others; and to remember what an impact that can have in creating a positive momentum for change- thank you to you both!."  Laura, Exec Coach

💬 “Really enjoyed it - great to have chance to chat to you a bit more, Kat and loved meeting you, too Anna - and having chance to chat a bit to the other participants too - felt very open and inviting.”  Workshop attendee
