Cláir Faisnéise – Dearcadh Eorpach | Documentary – A European Perspective

MEDIA Office Galway with the support of Coimisiún na Meán will host an information and pitching event called Documentary: A European Perspective in Galway on Thursday 23rd October. Confirmed broadcasters this year include SVT, RTÉ, TG4, S4C, ARTE, Virgin Media, Yle, Al Jazeera and Journeyman Pictures (sales agent). 

Déanfaidh eagarthóirí coimisiúnaithe Eorpacha cur síos ar na cineálacha éagsúla cláir faisnéise atá uatha. Ansin beidh deis ag léiritheoirí Éireannacha clár faisnéise atá á fhorbairt acu a chur i láthair agus castáil leis na heagarthóirí coimisiúnaithe.

The event will take place on Thursday 23rd October 2025 in the Innovation Space of Portershed a Dó, Market Street, Galway. It is organised in association with Paradiddle Pictures and will be moderated by Ove Rishøj Jensen.

European commissioning editors will first present their documentary slots. Then selected Irish producers/directors wil have the opportunity to pitch their projects to a panel of these commissioning editors. 

Observers are welcome to attend the morning sessions from 9.30–13.15, where they will have a chance to network with colleagues, view the live pitching event, and listen to participating broadcasters present their documentary slots and discuss their editorial strategies. This will be followed by a networking lunch and a series of one-to-one meetings for those pitching.
