Description
Online training for learning how to use Okaloa Flowlab simulations in a scaling context. In this module we will dive into the challenges of scaling across teams. You will learn how to deal with specialist resources and specialist teams:
Experience how dependencies amplify variability and learn about relationship between dependencies and fluctuation
Experience the effect of dependencies on WIP
Develop a skills/competence matrix to improve delivery capabilities and define explicit collaboration policies
Scaling beyond the team level: Experiencing interdependent teams (portfolio “Kanban” simulation), experience bottlenecks and the naivety of “limiting WIP” at portfolio level
Expressing capacity and shaping demand (capacity tokens)
Experiencing flow across interdependent teams (multi-teared flow simulation)
Managing the polarity between competence and feature teams
The sessions are scheduled as follows:
