Old Gold Racing Goes Racing to Yorkshire! Join us for a fantastic summer day’s racing as we head to York Racecourse for their Showcase Saturday fixture, sponsored by JM Finn.

On Saturday, 26th July, we have secured a private facility in the Sharpo Bar within the Knavesmire Stand specifically for Old Gold Racing owners.

You will enjoy a full afternoon of racing including the Jump Jockeys Nunthorpe - a unique and always entertaining flat race where National Hunt Jockeys swap the jumps for the flat - and the G2 Sky Bet York Stakes, a key summer target for top middle distance horses with G1 ambitions.

I don’t have a car, how do I get to York Racecourse?

The 197 Shuttle Bus service links York Railway Station to the Racecourse,

From York Station

The shuttle buses operate from Stand RJ opposite the Railway Station entrance between 11am and 1.00pm (between 4pm and 6pm for the evening Music Showcase).

From the Racecourse

The shuttle buses return to the Railway Station from Campleshon Road, next to the Racecourse entrance, from 4pm onwards. (From 8.30pm till approximately 10.30pm for the evening Music Showcase).

Single - £2.50

Dress Code

The Grandstand and Paddock has no formal dress code and feel free to dress as you wish and feel comfortable. However, taking a lead from the County Stand dress code, many of our racegoers in this enclosure do like to use a day at the races as an excuse to get glammed up.

Fancy dress (within the bounds of decency) is not unusual but please ensure it is family friendly.
