Jams & Fruit Preserves

Fresh or gluttoned fruit, turned into jams, jellies and chutneys that outlast the harvest. Preserving as an act of care for the fruit and for the future you who opens the jar in January.

We'll cover setting points, sugar ratios, natural pectin, sweet-sour chutneys and what to do with the "wonky" or foraged fruit nobody else wants.

You'll leave with: a jar of your own preserve and the ratios to keep making it at home.

Format: 2.5 hours, hands-on, all materials included. 

• £50 Tier (Reduced Rate): A lower-cost option for anyone who would benefit from paying less.
• £60 Tier (Standard Rate): Full price for fully employed individuals.
• £70 Tier (Supporter Rate): Supporter Rate: Helps us make the workshops more accessible to others.

Supporter-rate tickets help us offer free places to people who would otherwise be unable to attend.

Bear Bio

Bear has run food, healing spaces, craft and land based projects across the UK, France, India, Sri Lanka & Costa Rica over the last 15 years and he has now returned to the UK to offer a series of hands on workshops in fermenting, preserving, plant based craft, breath and bodywork. We’ll be exploring how to tend to our inner garden, remember ancestral ways of preserving the abundance of autumn produce and learn to better listen to our bodies' needs and respond with care. No experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to work with your hands and body. We use a sliding scale to offer different price points and make these workshops more accessible.
