Broncos Volleyball Day Camp

Join us for a fun, focused development program designed for athletes ages 12-16! Led by Olds College Men's Volleyball Head Coach, Kurt Wootton, with the assistance of Broncos varsity athletes and assistant coaches, this camp is the total package for any athlete committed to making major improvements in their game. 

Whether you are new to the sport or are a seasoned competitor, this program will give you the tools to take it to the next level! We blend a mix of skill sessions with gameplay and a mini-tournament to create a all-encompassing volleyball package.

We believe in developing the whole athlete. Throughout the week we will introduce each aspect of the game in addition to supplemental off-court activities. We are committed to providing a rewarding experience that involves skill acquisition, personal development and exposing athletes to what it takes to play at the next level.

Each day will consist of technical on court training in addition to a variety of off-court activities such as mental performance coaching, mobility/recovery sessions, goal setting, video sessions and physical literacy development for a total of 6 hours of training per day.

All participants will receive a Broncos Camp T-shirt.

Gender: All Genders

Ages: 12-16. Athletes will train in skill groups based on age, experience, and skill level.

Dates: August 4 - 7. 2026.

Times: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Location: Ralph Klein Centre -  5601 45th Ave Olds, Alberta

About the Coaches:

Kurt Wootton

Kurt is entering his first season as Head Coach with Broncos Men's Volleyball. He has been involved with the sport since the age of 11 and brings extensive playing and coaching experience from across Canada to the Broncos program. Most recently coaching in Nova Scotia, Wootton captured two provincial championships while helping mentor athletes into post-secondary volleyball careers. During his time as a Head Coach at Truro Tide Volleyball Club, he stepped into the world of collegiate volleyball. In 2023, Wootton became the first coach hired at Dalhousie Agricultural College in more than 20 years as head coach of the men's volleyball team. Prior to his time in Nova Scotia, Wootton coached in Alberta with Canuck Stuff Volleyball Club, earning two provincial silver medals and a national silver medal.
