The Next Decade of Old Tree ! Community Crowdfunder Launch

Hey Old Tree friend 🫶

So... over twelve years ago someone put up a sign in Brighton that said "imagine a garden." It led us to starting a community garden, that led us to a woodland, that led us to a orchards and events and fermentation revelations which led us start brewery together!! The brewery led us to Apple lands... to making award-winning kombucha, hedgerow wines and to planting Brighton's first Drink Forest Garden. 

There was a cafe and a community composting revolution and a decade of ceilidhs together and some of the most phenomenal people we've ever met!!  It's this journey and all the life-changing connections and relationships it's given us that make us so determined to keep going with Old Tree. 

Come and join us for a free online evening where we'll tell the full story of Old Tree, show the new Old Tree film and share our plan for the next decade of Old Tree - fermenting a regenerative future together. 

Big change has been brewing as the ecological and economic climates we're working through get more and more extreme – the future of Old Tree hinges on our ability to 'pivot' now. To adapt and focus on what we know works and can keep creating regenerative livelihoods, memorable life events and all the other things we share a love for that Old Tree plays a part of in our lives. 

Our future as a botanical brewery that can invest in community land regeneration depends on the success of this crowdfunder campaign and the new community foraging and fermentation service we're launching. 

It's called Drink the Seasons.
We can't wait to share it would you and would be so grateful for an hour of your time to be the first to hear about it in detail. 

To be successful, crowdfunder campaigns really need to build momentum at the start... They really need a crowd to help them reach a crowd to succeed!
We're going to be sharing a special toolkit and offering a 10 minute training to eveyone that can make it to really help us. 

Tom will be sharing most of the talk that was created recently for the Oxford Real Farming Conference that tells our whole story in more colour and detail than its ever been shared before. Here are a couple of the slides. When shared with a room of 50 delegates from the UK's ecological farming conference in Jan tears were shed both by Tom and the audience and multiple people said it was the best talk they attended at ORFC 2026. 

The whole event is free and we can promise to give eveyone that comes ready to help us get this out there some free drinks at the events we are sure we'll be sharing some of with you over the course of this year. 

We are setting out to build something longterm that is very different from a normal company here. We are building a movement for a potentially global foraging and fermentation revival and a local composting revolution. We are inviting you as a cherished network member of the community we wish to serve to JOIN OUR FOREST here and be part of this.
