Your Invitation
Come and join us for a long weekend of apple revelry with song, dance, fires and friendships to celebrate the abundance of small orchards, hosted by Old Tree Collective.
3 days and nights spent on a regenerative farm with all your food included, with a priority on organic, local and seasonal ingredients. We'll have a fully stocked, seasonal & affordable Old Tree Bar selling kombucha, cider, cocktails and beers, as well as low and no alcohol options.
Workshops, talks and walks amongst the black mountains, with stunning stone barns to play and party in, just 1 hour from Bristol.
Story
Apple land is a micro-festival that started 10 years ago with the founders of Old Tree Brewery organising scrumping trips and camping adventures as a form of activism to preserve small orchard apple culture.
Each year it's evolved through participation from wonderful people to inspire and share knowledge around fermentation, crafts, wellness and ecological activism. The goal is a nourishing, relaxing and fun weekend for apple lovers of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
The festival is participatory and not-for profit, supported by our amazing friends at Three Pools with an incredible permaculture farm venue.
The purpose of this gathering is to hold a space for celebrating the community in our lives - connecting to ourselves, the land and each other, and finding renewal in reciprocity. We want to make the gathering as affordable, interactive and nourishing as possible for all involved.
You're invited backstage
Everyone is a contributor to Apple Land; it is what we make it! This removes the common hierarchical structure of festivals and gives you an opportunity to contribute in whatever way you'd like. It also ensures we can keep costs down to an absolute minimum providing you with the most affordable and enjoyable festival possible.
We are asking each person to contribute 3-4 hours to the running of the festival, which can take a variety of forms. There are cooking and cleaning shifts, bar shifts, and the chance to offer something to the event programme itself, whether a workshop, live performance or DJ set.
Have a think about what you want to gift to this community of apple lovers, and we'll email you after buying your ticket.
