Romeo & Juliet and a night with Sir Gregory Doran for BOVTS 80th Anniversary

As part of our year of events to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, we are excited to welcome you to a unique one-off spectacle. 

A performance of Romeo & Juliet, coupled with a celebration of all things BOVTS. 

This ticketed event includes: 

• a drinks reception before the performance
• a light buffet before the show
• birthday cake in the interval
• an exclusive 'in person' conversation with the show's director, School alum and world famous Shakespeare expert - Sir Gregory Doran 
• a chance to meet with the cast and crew of the production and the School's staff team

We want to make this evening a highlight of the Autumn calendar and a chance to celebrate the final graduating cohort of the highly respected current BA Professional Acting course from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and the 80 year legacy that the School is so famous for.

Bristol Old Vic Theatre School are proud to present their 3rd Year BA Acting Students’ production of Romeo & Juliet for the 80th Anniversary Autumn Season.

Shakespearean Homecoming: Sir Gregory Doran Returns

The anniversary year kicks off with a flagship production of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. In a major coup for the School, the production will be directed by world-renowned Shakespeare expert and BOVTS alum Sir Gregory Doran.

Adding to the “full circle” nature of the project, the production features set and costume design by fellow alum Aldo Vazquez. Staged at the Tobacco Factory Theatres, the production will showcase 50% of the graduating BA Professional Acting cohort, offering audiences a chance to see the stars of tomorrow directed by a titan of the British stage.
