The Quran speaks of “The day whereon neither wealth nor children will avail, except those who bring to Allah SWT a clean heart (Qalb Saleem)”- Quran 26:88-89. The pure heart does not refer to a person who commits no sin, rather it is a heart that is alive with the recognition and awareness of Allah SWT. A heart that is salîm (sound) is the centre from which all other actions stem.
