Join Alice McCabe, mixed media artist and director of sustainable floral art and design studio Metafleur, for a workshop that uses nature observation to re-awaken our eyes and encourage focus.

During the workshop, the artist will share some floral collage methods that have been developed to actively exercise the eye and mind following too much screen time. She will suggest both temporal natural material arrangements in the landscape as eye exercises and guide participants in the creation of small floral artworks with a variety of sustainably sourced flowers and collage materials provided.

For any questions or to discuss how workshop might be made more accessible or comfortable to enable increased participation, please get in touch with Alice prior: studio@metafleur.com

About OmVed Gardens:

Since 2017, we have been carefully restoring a previously tarmacked land in Highgate Village, north London, to provide a space to explore food, creativity and ecology for health and climate resilience.

We are a community interest company featuring a permaculture garden, a creative zero-waste kitchen and a growing educational, events and exhibition space. Our aims are to realise our deep entwinement with each other and the more-than-human, through thinking around food, gardening and ecological awareness, to improve diversity at all levels (seed, food, species, participation) and to use creativity and nature-led knowledge to help tackle the climate emergency.
