‘Alchemy’ Supper Club at OmVed Gardens
At Omved, we take pride in our holistic, resilient, and hyper-local approach to cultivating and preparing food, and we invite you to experience it in our first Supper Club of the season.
Imagined and led by Josephine Marchandise, our kitchen endeavors to redefine the concept of 'waste' by creatively repurposing every food scrap, integrating wild and native ingredients and ferments into our menu, and minimizing energy and water usage through a closed-loop food system.
We believe eating should be a multi-sensory experience that not only nourishes but also excites and fulfills. Prepare to engage all your senses on a delightful journey from seed to plate, featuring more than 70 different varieties of plants, grown in our permaculture garden and local farmer markets.
Join us for an enchanting experience featuring a three-course plant-based tasting menu complemented by a welcome cocktail, with wine, beers, and cordials available for purchase throughout the evening.
Please note that our menu is plant-based and vegan, determined by our seasonal garden produce, ensuring a delightful surprise each time. Unfortunately, due to our temporary kitchen setup, we are unable to accommodate specific dietary requirements or allergies, acknowledging the possibility of traces and cross-contamination.
Spaces for our Supper Clubs are limited and in high demand, so we encourage you to book as soon as possible to guarantee your place.
Schedule:
6:30 PM - Doors Open and Welcome Cocktail
7:00 PM - Dinner Commences
9:30 PM - Event Concludes
About the host
Josephine Marchandise is the Head of the Regenerative and
Creative Kitchen and Fermentation Lab at OmVed Gardens. She is
passionate about growing, cooking and fermenting plants. Inspired by the
wild, she always tries to start her creative process outdoors, and
nurture her relationship with the soil/land before taking ingredients to
the kitchen. Josephine's cooking style is very intuitive, from farm to table, she has been exploring and experimenting with all
sorts of fermentation techniques for a few years. She is a member of the
UK Fermenters Guild, organises an annual fermentation festival and
regularly teaches hands-on workshops at Omved Gardens in London and in
France.

About OmVed Gardens:
Since 2017, we have been carefully restoring a previously tarmacked land in Highgate Village, north London, to provide a space to explore food, creativity and ecology for health and climate resilience.
We are a community interest company featuring a permaculture garden, a creative zero-waste kitchen and a growing educational, events and exhibition space. Our aims are to realise our deep entwinement with each other and the more-than-human, through thinking around food, gardening and ecological awareness, to improve diversity at all levels (seed, food, species, participation) and to use creativity and nature-led knowledge to help tackle the climate emergency.
