Come and spend a Sunday at OmVed Gardens — wander the gardens, explore our Artist of the Month's exhibition, and learn about how to create a hedgehog-friendly community.

November Artist of the Month: Mohini Kaur / Studio Mohini 
Mohini Kaur (b.1994, India/UK) is a London-based artist working across painting, installation, sculpture and photography. She makes work that stays with how transcendence is felt and resisted in the body, where sensation becomes a way of understanding inheritance and receiving knowledge. Kaur works within a framework she calls ‘The Long Ancestral Body’, situating the self within an ecological and ancestral continuum that remains alive in the present. Here the female body works as method, carrying tension and renewal into the same unresolved present.

12PM: Creating a Hedgehog-Friendly Community by Claudia from Growing Green
How can we make our gardens and community green spaces better for hedgehogs, and help them move safely through our neighbourhoods?

This 30 min talk will explore ways to make outdoor spaces more wildlife-friendly, from creating shelter and food sources to keeping hedgehogs out of harms way. We will also look at how individual gardens can work together to form a hedgehog corridor; giving hedgehog populations the freedom to roam and thrive.

• Sky Garden — Head up the stairs to the left of the Barn entrance to explore the kitchen's rooftop garden.
• Paul Mount Amphitheatre — Home to Abstract Forms, a monumental sculpture by British artist Paul Mount, set in quiet conversation with the landscape around it. 
• The Wildflower Meadow - the everchanging meadow  
• The Pavilion — Designed by architectural practice selgascano for Chelsea Flower Show 2022, this is a beautiful spot to rest and take in the surroundings.
• Seed Library  — Learn about OmVed's Seed Saving Network.

A note on accessibility: The gardens are set on a hill, featuring steep paths and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Wheelchair access across the site is currently limited while landscape works are underway. For events, there is drop-off access by car to the Barn main building. If you require wheelchair drop-off, please get in touch with us ahead of time. There is an accessible toilet located inside the Barn.
