About The Workshop

In this workshop, we will look at poems through lens of Adam Zagajewski’s seminal poem, Try to Praise the Mutilated World, as well as poems in a similar vein. We’ll consider poets such as WS Merwin, Wendell Berry, and Danusha Lameris. Poets will be invited to reflect on words that aim to help us carry the weight of life in tumultuous times and then write our own words in conversation with these voices.
