About Circa: Queer Histories Festival
Returning for a second year, Circa: Queer Histories Festival is the first and only queer histories festival in the United States. Hosted by One Institute, the oldest operating LGBTQ+ organization in the country, Circa will take place during LGBTQ+ History Month, October 2025. The month-long programming series showcases the trailblazing histories and vibrant cultural contributions of LGBTQ+ communities through the lens of present-day challenges and triumphs. Spanning the arts, humanities, politics, and culture, Circa features queer and trans thinkers and doers leading the movement for LGBTQ+ liberation. Our 2025 theme is FREEDOM.
