HOLE IS WHERE THE HEART IS

Artists Badly Licked Bear and Mand Ph. will present Hole Is Where the Heart Is, a conversation and live demonstration exploring experimental weaving, dyeing, and collaborative making through the lenses of queer embodiment, intimacy, and kinship. Together, they will share how their practice draws on ancestral knowledge, trans experience, and material experimentation to imagine new relationships between bodies, craft, and care.

The program culminates in a live demonstration of an experimental blood-based dye process that uses the warmth of the human body as a dye vessel, examining transformation as both a material process and a site of queer worldmaking.

Please note: The demonstration portion of Hole Is Where the Heart Is includes explicit queer sexuality. Attendees will be notified before this portion begins and may leave the program at any time.
