QUEER PORTRAITURE

Artist Liam Woods will lead a hands-on photography workshop exploring queer portraiture as a practice of trust, vulnerability, and self-representation. Drawing from their approach to photographing Queer Black and Brown communities, Woods will guide participants through techniques for creating portraits that celebrate authenticity, care, and connection.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own digital or film camera and will take part in a series of portrait-making exercises before gathering to share and discuss their images as a group.

This program is presented by One Institute as a part of, Wild Wonderful Sporadic Kin, supported by the California Community Foundation.
