The Authorized Onsite Wastewater Evaluator (AOWE) School is designed to provide professionals with the necessary education, training, and certification to conduct site evaluations and issue permits for on-site wastewater systems in accordance with North Carolina General Statute § 130A-336.2. This statute establishes the framework for Licensed Soil Scientists to assess, design, and certify wastewater systems, ensuring they meet state and local health and environmental standards.

The dates and times of the class are as follows with a 1 hour lunch break each day.
Attendees should dress appropriately and be prepared for a large portion of the class to take place outside.

Monday, September 21, 2026 through Thursday, September 24th - 8:00am to 5:00pm
Friday, September 25th - 8:00am to 12:00pm

AOWE Applicants will receive a certificate for the 30 Hour AOWE Certification Course + 6 Hours of Continuing Education for participation.
